Full Job Description
HR and Governance Officer Grade: H (£28,700- £33,699 FTE) Actual Salary: £24,539 - £28,813 per annum Hours: 37 per week. Term time + INSET days (5 in total) (39 working weeks per year + holiday allowance) Permanent __________________________________________________We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and professional HR Officer to join our busy and supportive school team. This is a key role within the school, combining HR, data protection and governance responsibilities, and offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and working at the heart of school operations. The successful candidate will:
- Lead on staff absence management, including reporting and casework, and liaison with the school's HR advisor.
- Coordinate data protection processes, including following Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests through from them being raised until conclusion.
- Be Clerk to the Governing Body, supporting effective governance and compliance, minute-taking and other responsibilities.
- Provide high-quality administrative and HR support to the leadership team. This role requires a high level of discretion, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. __________________________________________________ We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in HR or a similar role, and be willing to take an HR qualification if one is not already held.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Can work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Has an understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- Is able to take accurate minutes and support formal meetings. Experience in a school environment and/or clerking to governors would be advantageous but is not essential. __________________________________________________ We can offer:
