Full Job Description

The Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Oxford OX2 6GG
We're looking for a HR Assistant to join our professional HR teams. You will provide support in managing HR data to ensure it is accurately maintained on the HR system (People XD) while adhering to University policies and GDPR. This will include recruitment and employee data. Additionally, you will play a key role in providing support with a range of operational HR tasks including the administration of casuals and University cards.

This role will suit an individual who enjoys working in a busy office as part of a thriving and supportive HR community. The successful candidate will be required to be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team to provide a high standard of HR support.
The ideal candidate will have solid administrative skills, and previous experience of working in a complex organisation. The ability to maintain data to the highest levels of accuracy is essential along with strong IT skills. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal calmly and professionally with confidential matters. The teams have busy workloads, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, offering support as required, is key.

As well as the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team, we can offer you a competitive salary (including an Oxford Weighting Allowance), 38 days holiday per year, enrolment in a good pension scheme, access to employee benefits and discounts and professional development opportunities.
Hours of work:
This is a permanent full-time position, with the hours split 60% based in the Faculty of Philosophy and 40% based in the Humanities Divisional HR Shared Service. You will be based in the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.
