Job SummaryThe HR Apprentice provides administrative support to the HR Team whilst completing a recognised Human Resources apprenticeship programme. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience across a range of HR activities including onboarding, HRIS system administration, supporting employee lifecycle processes, benefits administration and HR project support whilst developing professional knowledge, skills and behaviours.
You will also undertake your CIPD Accredited Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship. This structured programme combines practical workplace experience with formal learning. Providing a strong foundation in key HR disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, employment law, people management, HR systems and organisational policies.
Some of the main responsibilities of the HR Apprentice will include:Learn how HR supports the business by gaining hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle.Be a key contact for new employees, creating a positive onboarding experience from offer acceptance through to their first day by supporting the end-to-end onboarding process.Develop confidence using Vulcain's HR Information System (HRIS), My People Hub, learning how employee records are maintained, and how our HRIS supports employees and the business.Assist the employee journey at every stage with administration of the employee lifecycle and changes.Support Right to Work checks, vetting activities and compliance processes with coaching from the team.Practically learn how payroll, benefits and employee administration activities work together to support an excellent employee experience.Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, reflecting on opportunities to simplify processes, improve employee
experience and make better use of technology.Gain exposure to employee relations activities, supporting meetings, note taking, case administration and documentation while developing your understanding of HR best practice.Produce basic reports and information from HR systems, developing confidence in data handling and reporting.Support employees with navigating HR systems and processes, promoting self-service and confidence in the HR System.Work towards successful completion of your HR apprenticeship qualification by applying your learning in a practical workplace environment.
