Do you thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment where no two days are the same? Are you confident managing employee relations whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders? Do you want to be part of a forward-thinking business, driving people strategy and cultural collaboration? Join us as our HR Advisor and you'll be a key partner to operational leaders across our Northampton site (Pineham), delivering a proactive and hands-on HR Service across warehouse and transport operations. You'll play a pivotal role in driving engagement, shaping culture, and supporting both people and performance. This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week contracted. Based on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company-sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!

What you'll do on a typical day

• Providing expert HR advice to managers on employee relations, performance, and people management


• Managing end-to-end absence, disciplinary, grievance, and long-term sickness cases


• Walking the floor to build relationships and ensure a visible, approachable HR presence


• Supporting the GXO teams in proactively identifying and developing employee engagement


• Analyzing HR data and supporting the delivery of the site people plan and broader HR strategy

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure, in a fast-moving environment


• Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions


• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels


• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities


• Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards CIPD qualification)
