Full Job Description
We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor (Employee Relations) to join our HR team. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for employee relations matters, supporting managers with practical, compliant, and commercially focused HR advice. You'll manage a wide range of ER cases end-to-end, ensuring a fair and consistent approach that aligns with company policies, employment legislation, and best practice.,
- Act as the first point of contact for managers on all employee relations matters, including: + Disciplinary and grievance cases + Absence management (short and long-term) + Performance management + Flexible working and probation reviews
- Manage ER cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies
- Produce and review documentation including investigation packs, invite letters, and outcome letters
- Maintain accurate case records and HR systems
- Support absence management processes, including Occupational Health referrals where appropriate
- Escalate high-risk or complex cases to senior HR colleagues as needed
- Liaise with external bodies (e.g. Police, ACAS) where required
- Support employment tribunal preparation and early conciliation processes
- Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, including DBS referrals
- Keep up to date with employment law and HR best practice
- Provide coaching and support to junior HR team members, You'll be expected to support wider HR projects as needed

- Confident advising managers at all levels
- Up to date with UK employment law and HR best practice
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidential and professional in handling sensitive information, Proven experience in an HR Advisor or ER-focused role
- Strong case management skills and ability to work independently
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Experience working with HR systems and case management tools
- CIPD qualification (desirable, but not essential)
