Working for the council
As an employer who values diversity of thought, we seek to employ candidates from a range of backgrounds in order to make our organisation more innovative. We are seeking candidates who are looking for their next career opportunity and are supportive employers, enabling our staff to work in an environment that produces high standards of work in an employee-led environment.
Are you an experienced administrator who has a good eye for detail? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have the perfect role for you!
As our HR Administrator, you will support the council through a period of significant organisational change, providing practical, hands-on support across workforce data, reporting and project activity. You will help ensure that the information we rely on is accurate, up to date and ready to inform important decisions linked to Local Government Reorganisation.
This will involve working with HR systems to cleanse and validate data, maintaining trackers and documentation, and supporting the coordination of project activity. You will also assist in producing reports and workforce information for senior managers, as well as responding to queries and working closely with colleagues across the organisation.
It is a varied role where attention to detail really matters, and where your work will directly contribute to how effectively the council prepares for change.
About you
You are someone who takes pride in being organised and accurate, particularly when working with data and systems. You may already have experience in an HR, administrative or project support role, and you are confident using tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook to manage information and priorities.
You are able to manage your workload, meet deadlines and adapt when priorities change. You communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
Most importantly, you are proactive, reliable and keen to learn. You understand the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational change within a public sector setting.
