Housing Options Advisor

To interview homeless applicants and gather relevant information regarding their homelessness

To ensure that all homeless applicants have had their circumstances fully assessed

To make relevant third-party enquiries and obtain information to help establish details of the case.

To manage a case load ensuring that appropriate work is undertaken to prevent homelessness and the need for emergency/temporary accommodation wherever possible.

Then, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team., We are looking for a highly motivated and committed Housing Options Advisor to join our very busy Housing Needs Service providing bespoke housing options advice to homeless applicants requesting assistance from Wakefield Council.

You must have highly effective interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels & personal resilience to working with challenging people.

To be successful in this post you will need to be highly organised, able to work within strict deadlines and have good IT skills.
