Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Management Officer to join a specialist domestic abuse support service in London on a temporary basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support women affected by domestic abuse, ensuring safe, secure, and well-managed accommodation whilst delivering a high-quality housing management service. The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day housing management of supported accommodation, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard whilst supporting residents to sustain their tenancies. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing rent collection, arrears prevention and income recovery
- Supporting residents with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and welfare-related applications
- Completing property inspections, health & safety checks and risk assessments
- Coordinating repairs, maintenance and void management
- Issuing occupancy agreements and completing property inductions
- Liaising with local authorities, registered providers and external partners
- Maintaining accurate housing management records and performance data
- Supporting residents with move-on plans and tenancy sustainment
- Ensuring accommodation remains safe, secure and compliant at all times

Previous housing management experience within supported housing, social housing or domestic abuse services - Experience managing rent accounts, arrears and tenancy-related issues
- Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing benefit and DWP processes
- Understanding of housing management legislation and pre-action protocols
- Experience carrying out property inspections and health & safety checks
- Strong administration, communication and IT skills
- The ability to work effectively with vulnerable residents and partner agencies
