Full Job Description

We're looking for two proactive Housing Communications & Engagement Officers with experience supporting multi-channel activity and with a passion for supporting residents on a low income. You'll bring creativity, insight and strong delivery skills to help plan and produce information and communications (face to face and online) that engage and involve our residents. Working with the Housing Communications & Engagement Manager, you'll help deliver surgeries, events, information packs across a variety of methods to help make sure residents are kept informed. This will include coordinating briefs, creating and updating content and collateral, promoting key messages across multiple channels, and shaping strong storytelling that brings our work to life - capturing impact, developing case studies and sharing the difference social housing makes to its residents. This is a hybrid role, and on-site attendance is subject to service needs. If you think that you can fulfil this role, we are keen to see an application from you! What you will be doing In this role, you will:

  • Design and deliver engagement plans that maximise participation across a range of projects
  • Lead and support a wide range of communications and engagement projects, ensuring delivery to a high standard and within deadlines
  • Work closely with residents and communities, including marginalised groups, to improve engagement and respond to feedback
  • Develop and share clear, accessible communications across multiple channels and audiences
  • Facilitate effective relationships with operational services and contribute to corporate campaigns
  • Support policy and strategy development by ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to contribute
  • Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, identifying improvements and lessons learned
  • Produce briefings and updates for senior leaders on engagement and communications activity

    A track record of delivering communications plans using project management techniques
  • Experience of supporting and engaging with diverse communities, tailoring communications accordingly
  • Experience of designing and facilitating events such as workshops and engagement sessions
  • Knowledge of a range of communication methods and how to apply them effectively to different audiences, Strong ability to build relationships with residents across diverse backgrounds, including delivering difficult messages
  • Ability to communicate effectively using both digital and face-to-face methods
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to develop accessible content and support operational teams with engagement approaches
  • Experience of analysing data and presenting insights in a clear and meaningful way
