HOUSEMISTRESS
Required for September 2026
Permanent role with up to 0.5FTE of subject teaching (applicable to teachers)
Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)
Accommodation provided is a 2 bedroom flat within a boarding house

Housemistresses at Queenswood play a vital role in the pastoral and academic wellbeing of the students. The Housemistress for Mymwood House is responsible for approximately 50 Boarders (Y9-10 Full and Weekly Boarders and Y11-13 Full Boarders).
This post would suit an experienced practitioner in pastoral care with QTS status, or someone looking for career advancement.
This is a residential post and the job holder is required to live in the Boarding House. Benefits include year-round free accommodation in the Boarding House, with all associated expenses. The accommodation is a two-bedroom apartment.

Queenswood is GSA, BSA Boarding and Day School for approximately 430 girls aged 11-18, set in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside close to London. Teaching at Queenswood you will have motivated students, an idyllic setting and plenty of opportunity for initiative and career progression.
