Housekeeping Manager - London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf

The Head Housekeeper supports the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This role assists with team supervision, quality inspections, inventory management, and guest satisfaction while supporting departmental budgets and operational excellence. What You'll Do

• Support the daily operation of the Housekeeping, Laundry, and related departments to ensure exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas and implement corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate room status updates with the Front Office team to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
• Monitor linen inventories, guest supplies, and housekeeping stock levels to maintain operational readiness.
• Support the ordering and management of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Work closely with Engineering to address guest room maintenance requirements.
• Oversee lost and found procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to housekeeping associates.
• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Supervise housekeeping operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Services.
  
  High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of housekeeping or related hospitality experience; or a relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and inventory management practices.
• Knowledge of health, safety, security, and loss prevention procedures.
• Experience managing supplies, equipment, and housekeeping resources efficiently.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to creating positive guest experiences.
• Ability to lead by example, coach team members, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, housekeeping equipment, and sustainability practices.
• Basic computer proficiency and administrative skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and maintain high performance standards.
