Full Job Description
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Caer Gwent is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene. Your work helps create a homely, safe environment where residents feel respected, valued, and cared for. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing thorough, high-quality cleaning across all areas of the home
- Dusting, polishing, and ensuring furniture is cleaned and moved safely
- Maintaining spotless floor surfaces, carpets, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Replenishing toiletries and essential cleaning supplies
- Supporting laundry duties and assisting residents who wish to participate
- Reporting maintenance concerns or issues relating to residents' belongings
- Following safe working practices, including COSHH and infection-control guidelines

- Ability to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check Desired criteria
- Experience working with older people
- Experience in a care home or residential setting
