Housekeeper

Hours: 8.00am to 4.00pm Shifts are worked to a rota, which includes some weekends. Howe Dell Manor is a 19-bed care home set in attractive grounds, just a few minutes from the centre of Hatfield. It is a warm, comfortable manor house, and the way it looks and feels matters enormously to the people who live there and to their families. We are looking for a Housekeeper to help keep the home spotless, safe and welcoming. This is a role for someone who takes real pride in their work, notices the small things, and enjoys being part of the daily life of a home rather than working behind the scenes. What you'll be doing

• Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas and communal spaces to a consistently high standard
• Working to daily and weekly cleaning schedules, and keeping accurate records of what has been completed
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, in line with COSHH and infection prevention and control standards
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or hazards so they can be dealt with quickly
• Respecting residents' rooms, belongings and privacy, and chatting with them as you go about your day
  
  Someone reliable and thorough, who takes pride in a job done properly
• A kind, respectful manner with older people and anyone living with a mental health condition
• The ability to work on your own initiative and manage your time across a busy home
• Willingness to work weekends on a rota basis
• Previous housekeeping, domestic or cleaning experience is beneficial
