Housekeeper

Working on behalf of our client in Swindon, we are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to work in a residential care setting. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' rooms, communal lounges, bathrooms, corridors, and staff areas to a high standard
• Carry out daily cleaning schedules, deep cleans, and infection control procedures
• Change and replenish bedding, towels, and toiletries as required
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment in line with COSHH and health & safety guidelines
• Dispose of waste appropriately, including clinical waste where required
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or health & safety concerns promptly
• Support laundry duties when needed, including washing, drying, ironing, and sorting clothing/linen
• Work respectfully within residents' personal spaces while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Follow safeguarding, hygiene, and care home policies at all times

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hotel, healthcare, or care home experience desirable
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Understanding of infection control procedures preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Friendly, respectful, and compassionate approach when working around vulnerable adults
• Flexible attitude to shifts, including weekends if required
• Enhanced DBS may be required

What's on offer

Hours: 07:00 - 15:00 / 08:00 - 16:00

Pay rate is hourly, to start £13.05
