Hourly Paid Musical Theatre Lecturer - Pianist
Watford, Hertfordshire
£32.46 (unqualified) - £35.18 (qualified) per hour

The School of Performance, Music and Media are looking for a talented individual to join their dynamic team.
You will have strong skills in Musical Theatre, with a focus on musical direction and singing technique. An ability to read sheet music, sight-read and play piano to a high standard is a necessity. Teaching experience of delivering music theory and ensemble vocals is also essential.
Experience of rehearsing and performing instrumental parts in musical works is desirable. The ability to work with and lead other musicians is also beneficial for this role. The candidate needs to be able to break down a full musical theatre score and teach its constituent parts to students.
The successful candidate will be someone with excellence in personal tutoring including target setting, lesson planning, delivery and assessment is a must and with a commitment to maximising learners' progress by positively promoting and embedding English, Maths and transferable skills.
During busy show periods, you will support with evening performances and possibly external events that require support.
Our courses are delivered by tutors with extensive knowledge and professional expertise of the industry and work closely with employers to develop students and their own skills.
This role is working hourly paid for approximately 12 hours per week based at our Watford Campus. The successful candidate will put Teaching, Learning, Assessment and student progress at the forefront.
Holding a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training and the chance to achieve a teaching qualification whilst working for the College will be provided.
