Join our dynamic team at Bridgend College in this flexible, hands-on role guiding and inspiring the next generation of beauty therapy professionals. You will plan and deliver high-quality learning across a range of beauty disciplines, helping learners develop essential practical skills and professional industry standards.

Working on a casual, ad-hoc basis to support departmental needs, you will play a key role in empowering students of all backgrounds to build the practical confidence needed to succeed in the beauty industry. We are looking for an experienced professional with current salon experience and a real passion for teaching others.

You must hold a Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapies, alongside a recognised assessor award (such as TAQA) and teaching qualification (or be prepared to obtain this). Excellent interpersonal and digital skills are essential to support, inspire and motivate a diverse group of learners.

Bridgend College recognises its responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students. We apply a rigorous process of checking the suitability of staff and volunteers to work with children and vulnerable adults. The above post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure for child and adult workforce and registration as a FE Teacher with the Education Workforce Council.

Bridgend College understands the value of providing services in Welsh and the need to grow its bilingual workforce. We therefore encourage applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate good Welsh language skills. Please specify in your personal statement whether you would prefer to have your assessment/interview conducted in Welsh.

We are actively seeking to improve representation from all sections of the community and promoting equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from everyone, including people from different backgrounds and communities, and of different ages.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader and we guarantee to interview anyone with a disability if their application meets the essential criteria for the post, and consider them on their abilities. We can also offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.

The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK. The College does not participate in the UK Visa Sponsorship Scheme therefore, candidates will have to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK if offered a role with us.

Please note there may be a requirement for a second stage interview or assessment.
