Hourly Paid Job Coach in SEN

To become an Hourly Paid Job Coach in our SEN department, we need someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and committed. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We have a variety of students from the surrounding area; we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Although this position is based at our Worcester campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required. You will support in many aspects, to name a few:

• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to secure high-quality work placements, supported projects, and employer engagement opportunities.
• Source, assess and approve work placement opportunities, ensuring all health and safety, risk assessment, and insurance requirements are met.
• Support students before and during work placements, monitoring progress, assessing employability skills, and providing ongoing guidance.
• Work collaboratively with Personal Tutors, Careers Teams, and curriculum staff to prepare learners for employment through work readiness, CV, job search, and interview support.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and placement outcomes, contributing to quality improvement and performance targets.
• Promote employer engagement and careers education, supporting the college's careers strategy, Gatsby Benchmarks, and wider careers programme.
• Attend relevant work experience and careers meetings and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
