Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive the postholder will provide executive leadership at The McIndoe Centre (TMC) including site-level oversight of quality safety, governance and clinical areas., Are you a passionate Hospital Director or wanting to step up into this role. You will report directly to the Chief Executive and will provide executive leadership at The McIndoe Centre (TMC) including site-level oversight of quality safety, governance and clinical areas., You will:
- Provide executive leadership for TMC, maximising the financial and operational performance of the hospital;
- Deliver exceptional patient experience and outstanding clinical outcomes through effective leadership of the operational teams;
- Provide executive leadership for TMC, maximising financial and operational performance;
- Provide executive leadership for clinical support services across TMC, Provide executive leadership for TMC and HH clinical support services. Specifically;
- Formulate and implement a business plan for TMC services in line with the strategic direction of Horder Healthcare (HH);
- Drive the commercial performance of the hospital against agreed business plan;
- Ensure that financial targets and key performance indicators are achieved;
- Ensure ongoing control of costs and efficient budgetary management;
- Establish a culture & process of continuous quality improvement such that TMC maintains a minimum Good CQC rating across all registered services and can demonstrate ongoing improvements in the overall patient experience;
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners e.g. consultants, CCGs, NHS Trusts, GPs & PMI providers;
- Engage with potential new consultants, prior to presentation for practicing privileges to the MACs, ensuring they fit with the hospitals business needs & culture.
- Ensure processes in place to meet the medical Practitioner assurance framework and facilitate annual reviews with each Consultant
- Provide effective leadership of HH clinical support services, ensuring high quality, cost-effective services are delivered across all HH service areas;
- Ensure strong levels of employee engagement, providing visible leadership and direction to all hospital staff.
Have significant senior leadership experience within healthcare. - Have experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Be able to demonstrate that you have been responsible for operational performance across multiple services.
- Have been financial accountability for large budgets.
- Demonstrate that you have delivered organisational change and transformation.
- Have worked effectively with Boards, Trustees and Executive Teams.
- Have managed organisational risk and governance.
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in healthcare management, business, leadership or a related discipline.
- Evidence of current registration of Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Practice or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Leadership and management qualification (or equivalent senior leadership experience).
- Understanding of healthcare regulation, governance and quality standards.
- Demonstrable knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
