- MB ChB or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practice
- Part MRCS/MRCP/FRCA or equivalent
- Current ALS Certification Desirable
- Full MRCP/MRCS Experience Essential
- A minimum of four year post graduate medical experience
- For endoscopy fellowship- proficient at diagnostic endoscopy
- Digital literacy, experience of electronic prescribing and use of AI in patient care, Certificate of completion of core training in medicine, surgery, ACCS, anaesthetics or equivalent by the time of appointment competencies or equivalent
- Previous experience of working as part of a H@N team
- Experience in oncology, haematology or surgical-oncology Person Specification Qualifications Essential

We were ranked joint first in the CQC national inpatient survey results, above average in national cancer patient experience survey and ranked first amongst teaching hospitals in the UK for our staff survey results. Predominantly the Trust's workload is from within the South West and West London Cancer Networks but, as a specialist cancer, the Trust has a high out-of-area referral rate for rare cancers, recurrent disease and treatment-related problems including international referrals. The Trust operates a shared care model with St George's Healthcare NHS Trust for paediatric cancer.
Post holders have undertaken fellowship in a wide variety of areas including surgical specialities, dermatology, gastroenterology, palliative medicine, medical or clinical oncology, digital health care to name a few. The H@N team is made up of a senior nurse and an outreach nurse and the H@N doctor. At the Chelsea site there is an oncology SHO onsite until 10.30pm. The night shift starts at 8pm and finishes at 9am the next day. The H@N doctor cares for all ward inpatients within the hospital overnight and new admissions under oncology, haematology and surgical specialties. They are supported by an onsite registrar/SAS doctor in critical care, and registrars in oncology, urology/gynaecology surgery, head & neck surgery and general surgery who are non-resident but able to attend the hospital when required. These posts are anticipated to be available from the end of June 2026 onwards.
