Summary
Lewisham Council is seeking a Home Ownership Officer (SO1) to provide a high-quality, customer-focused service to leaseholders and shared owners. The role involves managing all aspects of home ownership, including service charges, major works billing, leaseholder enquiries, and statutory consultations. You will ensure compliance with lease terms, support income recovery processes, and handle complex queries effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in leasehold management within a local authority or housing organisation, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of relevant legislation such as the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a busy environment are essential.
NB: Ideally require someone who does not require training on the basic skills and systems.
