HMP Millsike - Contractor Escort

As a Contractor Escort, you'll be a key point of contact for contractors and service engineers working within the prison. You'll ensure their safe access, supervise them during their time on-site, and maintain strict security standards at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Verifying contractor ID, assisting with check-in, and ensuring all documentation is compliant.

-Conducting searches and confiscating prohibited items in line with security procedures.

-Performing tool and equipment checks to ensure all items remain accounted for.

-Escorting contractors and visitors to maintain safety and security across the site.

-Handling, searching, and logging incoming deliveries to prevent contraband risks.

-Demonstrating strong security awareness around key control and tool management.

-Carrying out routine inspections to ensure safe working practices.

-Following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns where required.

-Supporting the onsite Stores team to maintain accurate stock levels and records.

-Receive, receipt and store incoming materials.

-Completing administrative tasks to ensure accurate data and record-keeping.

-Ensure the safe and secure storage of all store assets-including pump trucks, forklifts, and electric vehicles-as well as contractor materials, with up-to-date COSHH documentation maintained. Additionally, oversee the cleanliness and consistent supply of all satellite stores across the site.

-Ensure full health and safety and fire safety compliance in all areas of work.
