Are you passionate about helping vulnerable young people rebuild confidence and reconnect positively with education?
New Line Learning Academy is seeking a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Orchard House, our brand-new specialist Key Stage 3 emotional wellbeing and reintegration provision supporting students experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), anxiety and emotionally based attendance barriers.
Orchard House provides a calm, nurturing and highly personalised environment where students can rebuild confidence, strengthen emotional wellbeing and gradually reintegrate into mainstream education.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of vulnerable young people and make a genuine difference to their lives.
The role will include:
· delivering elements of PSHE and Personal Development;
· supporting students within therapeutic and emotional wellbeing sessions;
· working alongside teachers in English, Mathematics and Science lessons;
· mentoring and supporting emotional regulation; and
· helping students rebuild confidence, routines and readiness for learning.
· We are looking for someone who:
· is passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable young people;
· has experience working with students experiencing SEMH, anxiety or SEND;
· can build exceptional relationships with young people;
· is calm, nurturing and resilient; and
· believes every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.
In return, we offer:
· the opportunity to work in an innovative and highly impactful provision;
· excellent professional development opportunities;
· a supportive and ambitious leadership team; and
· the chance to transform the lives of vulnerable young people.
If you are passionate about making a difference and helping young people grow in confidence and success, we would love to hear from you.
The role is 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday 8:00am-3:30pm, working 38 weeks per year. Please note that this role is fixed term for 1 year initially.
Only applications submitted by the school application process will be considered, we are unable to accept CVs.
