Are you passionate about shaping young minds and making a difference? Neale-Wade Academy are on an exciting journey of improvement, and we invite you to see the transformation for yourself. If you are interested in this role, we look forward to welcoming you to tour our school.

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Neale-Wade. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver specialist interventions to pupils, along with providing some cover for teachers, while contributing to the overall ethos and success of the academy.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured interventions, reporting pupil progress, and contributing to a high standard of teaching and learning. You will play a key role in fostering an environment of high expectations, where pupils are inspired to achieve their full potential. It is important you are able to build supportive, constructive relationships with pupils and staff.

Why Choose Neale-Wade Academy?

  • Work for a Trust that values you and the role you play in educating our young people. Our most recent Ofsted visit confirmed: "The Trust has put in place effective training to help staff implement improvements. As a result, the school has begun to provide pupils with a more positive experience of education."
  • Development opportunities
  • Vivup Employee Benefit System
  • Local Government Pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme

Our significantly improved provision since our previous graded inspection has seen a change in culture, where staff are happier and there are consistently high expectations for all. As a result, our young people have confidence in their education and behaviour is orderly and calm. Come and meet our students and staff to see for yourself. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a school that is highly committed to making a difference for the young people in its community.

We encourage you to visit us to find out more about this exciting opportunity. Please contact Donna Spendelow (HR Recruitment Officer) - and arrange a visit to our Academy.

The Active Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff to actively share this commitment. All adults working in our Trust in whatever capacity will be part of a thorough safer recruitment process. All appointments will be subject to pre-employment checks including the taking of satisfactory references and enhanced criminal record clearance in line with the need to create and maintain a safe culture.

The Active Learning Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the advert closing date. With this in mind, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

To ensure we recruit and retain the best talent, all new employees recruited to the Active Learning Trust (leadership, teaching and support staff) will be subject to a 6 months' probation period at the start of their employment (except for Early Career Teachers who are subject to a Statutory Induction Period). This policy aims to assess new employees' alignment with our culture, teaching standards, and student needs. It is designed to foster success; with regular evaluations and support mechanisms in place, helping us to identify and nurture talent.

We value diversity and welcome applications from all, including those with protected characteristics under the Equality Act. Flexible working will be considered for all roles deemed suitable.
