Histopathology Medical Secretary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical secretary to join our Histopathology Team at Harrogate & District Hospital.The Histopathology laboratory provides a clinically lead diagnostic Histopathology and Non-Gynae Cytology service to HDFT. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with other Histopathology secretarial colleagues to provide an efficient and effective secretarial service for the Histopathology Department. The post-holder must effectively provide all secretarial and administerial duties required to support and ensure continuity of service provision within the Histopathology Department. The Pathology team at Harrogate is highly regarded having an excellent reputation with service users. The focus of the department is on delivery of a high quality service with patients at the centre of everything we do. Our vision is to achieve excellence every time. The post is for up to 30 hours per week., To undertake all secretarial and administration duties required by the Histopathology Department, in accordance with the Department's written standard operating procedures and meeting the written standards for timeliness and typographical accuracy. To produce histopathology and cytology reports, irrespective of source; using audio, copy and dictation methods, and using word processing and bespoke laboratory based systems. Organise, attend, produce and circulate minutes and all documentation for Histopathology Department and or adhoc meetings.
