As part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team, you'll contribute to high-profile projects for clients such as the West of England Combined Authority, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Cardiff Council, and Wessex Water , and contribute to major frameworks including WECA PSF2 and SEWTAPS . Whether it's improving cycling infrastructure, calming traffic in busy neighborhoods, or enhancing public spaces, your work will directly improve how people move and live. Here's what you'll do: As an Engineer in our Bristol Streets team, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle-from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of traffic engineering, local transport, and urban realm schemes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to projects that make a real difference to communities.,

• Develop preliminary and detailed designs for traffic engineering, streetscape, and local highway schemes.
• Prepare high-quality technical outputs including drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and technicians across AECOM's business lines.
• Support and mentor team members, helping to delegate and coordinate tasks.
• Deliver work to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
• Promote and apply Health & Safety best practices, including CDM responsibilities.

We're seeking a proactive and technically capable engineer who is passionate about improving transport infrastructure and public spaces. You'll bring a mix of design expertise, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, Ready to push the limits of what's possible?,
• Experience in developing feasibility, preliminary, and detailed designs for local roads and traffic schemes.
• Familiarity with design elements such as alignment, drainage, pavements, road restraint systems, signage, and markings.
• Knowledge of cycling infrastructure, traffic calming, junction design, and footway/carriageway improvements.
• Understanding of relevant design standards including TSRGD, Manual for Streets, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Awareness of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
