Highways Road Worker

Sandwell Council is looking for motivated and skilled Highways Road Workers to join our Highways Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of highway improvement and maintenance projects that make a real difference to residents, businesses and road users across the borough.About the RoleRepairing and maintaining roads, footways, kerbs and drainage systems.perating highway maintenance vehicles, plant and specialist equipment.Installing and maintaining traffic management systems and road closures.Carrying out excavation and reinstatement works.Installing highway furniture and associated infrastructure.Supporting emergency and winter maintenance operations when required.Essential RequirementsNRSWA Street Works qualification covering operative units.Full current driving licence.Minimum 12 months experience in highway maintenance or repair.Experience operating construction plant and equipment.Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working
