Highly Specialist Stroke Rehabilitation Team Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Stroke Rehabilitation Team Lead to manage and lead a team of Multiprofessional Rehabilitation Assistants (MPRAs) within the stroke service. We are seeking a motivated rehabilitation specialist from a registered nursing or allied health professional background with strong rehabilitation expertise. Stroke Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) is a 38-bedded inpatient facility delivering specialist stroke recovery and rehabilitation. The Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Team provides community-based domiciliary rehabilitation following discharge. MPRAs work across both teams to enhance patient experience through specialist rehabilitation support. The post holder will provide clinical leadership and line management to the MPRA team, working closely with the ESD team, SRC ward manager, stroke consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team as part of the stroke leadership group. The role will support the development and delivery of innovative stroke rehabilitation across inpatient and community settings, promoting an inclusive culture that values staff wellbeing and collaboration with nursing and therapy teams., The successful candidate will need to:

• be responsible for the overseeing the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality service to patients recovering and rehabilitating after stroke.
• have previous senior clinical and leadership experience.
• act as an expert providing clinical supervision, support to the team and clinical advice to members of the interdisciplinary team, patients, carers and other agencies.
• have relevant physical examination and rehabilitation intervention skills
• have excellent organisational, communication and influencing skills.
• work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• collaborate closely with key leaders/managers which will include identifying areas for service development and improvement, implementing transformational change.
• advocate and support patients' rights by promoting shared decision making, respecting individual choice and beliefs, ensuring privacy and dignity at all times.
  
  The successful candidate will be a dynamic practitioner with significant post-registration experience, able to manage a complex rehabilitation caseload while leading the MPRA team effectively as part of the multidisciplinary workforce.
