Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Band 7 equivalent) Up to £ 50,632 - £ 57,940 DOE Full time, permanent Location: Cygnet Afon Las Due to the opening of a new service, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team! Cygnet Afon Las is a brand-new service, scheduled to open in April 2027. Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, this 15-bed hospital will provide a neurocognitive service, delivering specialist care and support for men complex neurological conditions alongside psychiatric sequelae. The service will accept referrals from the community, as well as from neurosurgical and neuro-rehabilitation services, offering a pathway for assessment, treatment and recovery in line with Cygnets Model of Care. Individuals may be detained under the Mental Health Act and some may have a forensic history. Job Role As an SLT in this service, you will be working directly with a specialist caseload of patients with complex
needs to assess their speech, communication and language needs (SCLN) as well as eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) needs. You will work deliver input in line with the Cygnet SLT pathway for neuropsychiatric services. As part of a multi-disciplinary team on-site, you will also work with colleagues across the service to support the implementation of management approaches, upskilling the workforce as required. You will be part of a company-wide SLT service and as such will have the opportunity to participate in large-scale projects. You will receive high quality supervision and be supported with CPD.
