Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering and developing a comprehensive range of respiratory and sleep diagnostics. Respiratory investigations include spirometry, lung volumes, gas transfer, bronchodilator reversibility and respiratory muscle assessment, with opportunities to develop advanced testing. Our established sleep service provides physiologist-led clinics, sleep diagnostics and CPAP therapy for patients with sleep-disordered breathing, alongside face-to-face and remote follow-up and a patient helpline. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and local tertiary centres. Why join us?

The successful candidate will be an experienced, adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to manage and prioritise their workload effectively. You will require previous Band 6 experience, a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, voluntary registration with RCCP/AHCS and relevant ARTP respiratory accreditation/competencies. Experience in sleep physiology and CPAP is desirable. Experienced Band 6 applicants working towards the required competencies may be considered, with support to progress to Band 7 on completion of the relevant departmental competencies and qualifications. This is a part time post working cross site at Macclesfield District General Hospital and at the new purpose built Community Diagnsotic centre in Congleton. 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm., Please be aware that this post requires an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists, the cost of which is payable by the successful candidate. If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
