Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dietitian to enhance their clinical and leadership skills in critical care as part of our team at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. This role will be a split role between QMC and City Hospital.

We are looking for a forward thinking dietitian to join our team of dietitians, based at Queens Medical Centre and City Hospital. You will become an integral member of our multidisciplinary team delivering high quality patient-centred dietetic care. We are an exceptional, dynamic and supportive team with a strong MDT ethos.

The successful candidate will support complex nutritional interventions as well as nutrition support and enteral feeding so some experience in these would be beneficial. You be involved in supporting the rotational Band 6 dietitians within critical care, helping with training and development. We actively encourage service improvement and audit and the successful candidate would have the opportunity to lead development work to improve nutritional care of our patients.

You'll need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within a supportive team. Experience of nutritional support and evidence of a varied clinical experience is desirable.

With over 19,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population. We play a leading role in research, education and innovation.

Come and join our wonderful team at NUH. We are big believers in diversity and welcome new ideas to help develop our team in order to deliver world class healthcare to the vast patient populations we serve. With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career!

We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are striving to be better represented at NUH.
