Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Working 33.75 hours per week (term time)We are seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.As an HLTA, you will:Plan and lead small-group English withdrawal sessions.Provide guidance to and oversee Learning Support Assistants.Deliver tailored learning interventions to meet students' individual needs.Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support classroom management and behavior strategies.Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting delivery of curriculum-aligned interventions and activities.Planning and delivering lessons to individuals, groups, or whole classes as required.Monitoring and assessing student progress through data and feedback.Reporting concerns, incidents, or safeguarding issues in line

with policies.Providing line management for Learning Support Assistants.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent.HLTA status or relevant Level 2/3 qualifications (e.g., NNEB).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Competence with IT tools and ability to analyse and present data.Experience working in a similar role within education or SEND environments.Proven organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.About our School:St Lawrence Primary School has large, bright classrooms, all with access to their own outside space.
