Full Job Description
We seek to appoint a committed and dynamic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with specific children throughout the whole school. Our teaching and support staff work hard and enthusiastically as one team with the belief that every student can succeed and transform their life chances, achieving more than they dreamt possible. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for learning, your presence and personality.
This position will involve supporting our pupils, specifically within the areas of language and communication, reading, writing or mathematics across KS3 and KS4. Therefore, we would only shortlist applicants with expertise in one or more of these areas.
You will be required to provide academic, emotional and social support to young people to help them overcome barriers to learning, ensuring that individual pupils engage more effectively in learning and participating in the life of the school. To be successful, you will have the ability to identify specific barriers and implement a range of strategies to support both basic skills and access to the curriculum under the guidance of the relevant leader.
You will be joining the Academy at a very exciting point along its journey to excellence.
You will be given full support in your career development, as we believe that the development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students. You will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD. We are committed to professional development and have a strong track record of supporting colleagues to progress in their careers.
Our school is well resourced and has a supportive and reflective Senior Leadership Team, Governing Body and Multi-Academy Trust. We have a whole-school commitment to professional development, as we believe that the development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our pupils. As a member of the Wade Deacon Trust, we can offer you numerous exciting opportunities to further develop your career.
A comprehensive programme of CPD supports colleagues at all career stages; through the Multi-Academy Trust, we provide excellent career opportunities for our staff. Colleagues seeking a varied, challenging and rewarding career can find this in the Wade Deacon family.
