Full Job Description
Are you passionate about creating inclusive, high-quality education for students with SEND? Do you have the vision and leadership to shape and deliver outstanding provision? We are seeking an experienced and driven High Needs Manager to lead on SEND across both campuses. Reporting directly to the Director of Inclusion and Student Experience, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) receives the support they need to thrive. As High Needs Manager, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred support for students with SEND. You will work in close partnership with curriculum teams, external agencies, local authorities, and families to provide a coordinated, effective learning experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the High Needs provision across both campuses, ensuring the delivery of outstanding inclusive teaching.
- Providing daily leadership and operational oversight for Learning Support Managers, SEND Officers, and Foundation Learning Leaders.
- Embedding inclusive practices across teaching, learning and assessment through collaboration with academic teams.
- Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, funding regulations, and college quality standards.
- Preparing and managing the High Needs Funding (HNF) budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Monitoring outcomes and destinations for High Needs learners and using data to drive continuous improvement.
Proven experience delivering high-quality support for learners with SEND, including leading Foundation Learning in line with the Preparation for Adulthood agenda. - A strong understanding of the EHCP process and experience in managing SEND support in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A track record of improving outcomes for learners with high needs.
