- You'll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- You'll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
- You'll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
Qualified mechanic: you're fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs. - Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
- Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
- High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
- Flexible to service demands: you're able to work on a flexible shift rota. You're always willing to support your team where necessary.
We're recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at Manchester Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £50k including overtime. Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) (Three week rotating shift pattern; week 1 and 2 : 06:00 - 14:30, week 3: 13:30 - 22:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays 06:00 - 14:30 (with weekday days off) What's in it for you? - Salary: £40,906 per annum plus a shift allowance of £90.21 per week when working 13:30 - 22:00
