HGV Class 2 Driver

Pay Rate: £39,028.14 Grade: RCS P Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday - 45 hours a week - 9 hour shifts Location: Hatfield, AL10 9TR PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a prison. We're now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• You will delivering canteen supplies, ambient, chilled and frozen food into the prison services which is palletised.
• Pushing and Pulling dollies up to 200kg
• There will be around 3 to 4 drops per day.
• depending on which route you are allocated.
• MANUAL HANDLING WILL BE REQUIRED.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
• Can provide three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance)
• Are comfortable working in a prison environment, alongside inmates
• Are able to work in a role that requires manual handling and regular heavy lifting
• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Will have 12 months recent driving experience of HGV vehicle is essential
