Full Job Description
You will be responsible for trunking and long-distance deliveries across the UK, completing overnight stays as required, and ensuring all loads are delivered safely, on time, and in line with transport regulations.,
- Carry out HGV Class 1 tramping runs across the UK.
- Complete collections and deliveries safely and on schedule.
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after shifts.
- Secure loads correctly and follow all road safety rules.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, PODs, and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers.
- Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph, and working time regulations.
The role suits a professional driver who is comfortable working independently, keeping accurate records, and representing the business reliably and courteously.simplyhired+2, Valid HGV Class 1 licence. - Current CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous tramping experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and compliance standards.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work away from home.
- A strong attitude to safety and customer service. Suitable Experience: This role will suit a Class 1 driver with tramping, trunking, or general haulage experience who is confident with overnight work and longer-distance routes. Drivers with a clean, professional approach and a solid understanding of compliance will be well-suited to this.
- £18 per hour.
- £25 night out allowance.
