Healthcare Support Workers (Hospital of St Cross, Rugby & UHCW)

We are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic people who either hold a health and social care qualification BTEC level 2 or above or have experience in a person-centred & public facing role to become a healthcare support worker at Coventry Hospital of St Cross, Rugby & University Hospital Coventry.

If you have excellent communication skills, have a caring and compassionate nature, have the desire to help others and the drive to develop a rewarding career you will be proud of, then we want to hear from you., You must have either a Level 2 BTEC Diploma or extended Diploma or equivalent qualification or have previous care experience or experience in a person-centred & public facing role., As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of care or experience in working within a person-centred & public facing role or already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification.

Supporting the Registered Nursing staff in the delivery of personal care and assistance for patients at The Hospital of St Cross, Rugby & University Hospital Coventry.

Please be advised that the assessment centre and interviews will be held on the 7th May 2026, at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire, Clinical Science Building for shortlisted candidates.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP., University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, rated as good by the Care Quality Commission, is one of the largest teaching Trusts in the UK.
