Full Job Description

"Join Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a Healthcare Support Worker! Our aim is to deliver high quality, safe services which improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for. Your contributions make an immediate difference to the lives of the people we serve, whilst helping to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. We're looking for individuals to join our Hospital at Home and frailty service, with vacancies across Eastleigh and Lymington. This is a fast paced role, where you'll be delivering outstanding care in patients' homes. No two days are the same; from performing basic health observations and supporting rehabilitation, to helping patients with personal care, mobility support and emotional wellbeing, you'll be helping individuals to live as independently as possible. We pride ourselves on ensuring our staff feel valued, supported and encouraged to develop their skills. As well as our Support Worker induction, you can expect continual opportunities to learn and grow, as you work within our wider multi-disciplinary teams. The service operates 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, and you can expect a range of shift patterns, including up to two weekends per month. Please mention your preferred location in your application. A full driving license and access to a vehicle is required for this role. The Trust is unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) or strong care experience
  • Experience in a care, hospital, or community setting
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Compassionate, reliable, and good communication skills

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides joined-up mental and physical healthcare for around two million people across our communities. With over 13,000 staff working in the community and local hospitals, we deliver care at every stage of life, helping people live their best and healthiest lives.
  • Our mental health services include community-based support and early intervention in psychosis (EIP) for both adults and young people, alongside a network of specialist inpatient wards covering forensic, learning disability, eating disorder and older person's care. We deliver extensive physical health services too, from urgent community response teams helping frail and older patients remain safely at home, to hospitals at home teams providing acute-level care in familiar surroundings. Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support. Everything we do is underpinned by our CARE values of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence

£25,760 to £27,476 a year Please note for part time hours the salary will be pro rata
