Healthcare Support Worker - Clinical Care - Gynaecology Outpatients

Gynaecology OutpatientsThe Gynaecology Outpatient Department (GOPD) consists of specialist clinics that manage a range of conditions, includinggeneral gynaecology, urogynaecology, and oncology. The department consists of consultations as well as minor procedures. You will work alongside a team of Consultant Gynaecologists who work within the department, each bringing expertise in their own area of specialism. Patients are supported throughout their visit by a dedicated team of experienced gynaecology nurses, ensuring high-quality and continuous care. In addition, the Gynaecology Oncology service offers ongoing support to oncology patients throughout their treatment pathway, with specialist staff present during oncology clinics to provide tailored care and guidance. Main duties of the job

• To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service,all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

• To manage the care of a group of patients, demonstrating good planning and organisational skills. Throughout patient treatment and care journey, including admission and discharge.
• To understand duty of candour and speak with senior colleagues to discuss further if required.

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3/ T levels/ A levels in Care/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent experience
• Completion of care certificate within 12 weeks of start date
Experience Essential
• Some previous experience in a nursing/Care Assistant role which can be demonstrated against the requirements of the role.
Attitude, aptitude Essential
• Caring and compassionate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
