The Acute Care team at the Royal London Hospital are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families. To achieve this, we are looking to appoint an outstanding individual to the post of Healthcare Support Worker within the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU). We admit patients directly from A&E and ambulatory care to our 52 bedded AAU and aim to provide an exceptional standard of care whilst maintaining the flow of patients throughout the hospital., The Senior Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurses, nurse associates and midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.

We are looking to recruit staff who have experience of delivering care in an acute setting.

You will have excellent communication skills, be caring and compassionate at all times and thrive in a very busy environment.

As a healthcare assistant your role will be to help the qualified nurses assess, plan deliver and evaluate high standards of care to patients.

The applicant needs to demonstrate and establish good clinical skills and show that they could work independently without direct supervision.

We are looking for candidates for a full time post, the shift pattern is a mixture of days and nights over weekdays and weekends.
