An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the blood sciences team at Northumbria Healthcare as a Healthcare Science Associate.

Healthcare Science Associate works as part of the pathology team. They will be responsible for performing a range of scientific procedures on biological samples contributing to the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases, and the investigation of other pathological processes. This role contributes to the production of accurate and timely results, whilst supporting the ongoing development of pathology services., Healthcare Science Associate works as part of the pathology team. This role contributes to the production of accurate and timely results, whilst supporting the ongoing development of pathology services.

Laboratory investigations will be carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with all work carried out to specified standards as laid down by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). This role could be across all sites within the Trust.

To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.
