Healthcare Assistant (Women's Services)

As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist the team and work alongside the nurses, midwives, and medical staff. We have strong links with the sonographers, specialist midwives and the wider organization., We require support from dedicated Health Care Assistants, who can give physical and emotional support to women. You will be expected to perform phlebotomy skills, assist the nursing, midwifery and medical teams. You will demonstrate a caring and compassionate nature, we will provide training and exposure on pertinent aspects of the service so you are confident to support women who are booking into or attending our services for the first time. Depending on your area of work, women may be distressed or bereaved following the loss of their pregnancy or as a result of undergoing a procedure to end a pregnancy due to a poor outcome following their scan. With this in mind, you need to be aware this may be a challenging environment.
