Full Job Description
As our OPD Healthcare Assistant, youll play a hands-on role in patient care and provide essential support to the clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering compassionate and patient-centred care, including supporting with personal hygiene, mobility, diet and fluids.
- Assisting patients during treatments, investigations and procedures, always protecting their privacy and dignity.
- Recording vital signs and updating care documentation accurately.
- Acting as a chaperone when needed and escorting patients safely within the unit.
- Supporting the team with administrative and reception duties greeting patients, answering queries, and managing documentation.
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and patient experience. Youll also be encouraged to develop your skills and competencies through training and ongoing professional development.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Calm, professional and compassionate, even in challenging situations.
- Flexible to fit into the internal rotating shift patterns
- Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting colleagues.
- Organised, adaptable and able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment. It would be great if you hold NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or have experience in a hospital or outpatient setting, but whats most important is your dedication to delivering exceptional care to our patients., Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
- A full-time equivalent salary of £24,804 per annum
- Work 37.5 per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday shift.
