Full Job Description

Working alongside the outpatient team your role would be to support the team in setting and maintaining person centered high quality care and ensuring that patient safety and the patient experience are paramount., Please see attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification for more information regarding this role.

Do you have a pro-active, forward thinking attitude towards providing an outstanding service for our patients?, You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills and want to develop your knowledge and skills. You will be a motivated team player and be committed to your own professional development. There is a requirement for you to be flexible to meet the needs of the clinics. In return we will support you to develop in the role.,

  • oCompletion of short courses to undertake patient and clinical care duties, completion of a competency-based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3
  • oMaths and English skills equivalent to Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy
  • oCompletion of Care Certificate or equivalent experience
  • For Band 3 appointments: NVQ / QCF Level 3 in a health-related subject or demonstrable equivalent experience supported by completion of a competency-based clinical skills framework, oCommitted to providing high quality patient care
  • oUnderstands the needs of patients in an acute setting
  • oExperience of working as a Healthcare Assistant
  • oExperience of caring for patients in an acute setting
  • oAbility and willingness to undertake delegated clinical duties
  • oAbility to act as an advocate for patients
  • oUnderstands the importance of professional behaviour at all times
  • oUnderstands own role in delivery of care to meet patient's needs, including personal accountability and role boundaries
  • oUnderstands the importance of following instructions and written procedures
  • oExperience of working within a team, oAbility to communicate clearly in English in writing, via IT, verbally and using the telephone
  • oAbility to pass on information or results accurately
  • oAbility to demonstrate kindness, compassion and empathy to others
  • oAbility to provide patients with an environment that supports privacy and dignity
  • oAbility to work under pressure
  • oEnthusiastic and self-motivated and embraces change positively
  • oAbility to uphold the Trust's values
