Healthcare Assistant - Creech

Symphony Healthcare Services has a vacancy for a Healthcare Assistant located at our practice in Creech St Michael, Taunton. You'll be a confident, able to independently support and manage patients, while working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient focused care. The working pattern for this role will be Monday, Thursday AM and PM and Friday AM,

• Perform new patient and NHS health checks
• Undertake prediabetes reviews including giving lifestyle advice, (diet, weight, exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol) making necessary referrals within PHCT/local support services
• Undertake point of care testing for cholesterol, HbA1c, and INR
• ECG recording
• Blood Pressure monitoring including issuing HBPM in accordance with practice policy
• Phlebotomy
• Urinalysis in accordance with practice policy
• Wound Care and suture removal in accordance with practice policy
• Chaperoning duties

This vacancy will be a part time, permanent contract with the flexibility of working 15-18 hours per week. The pay rate for this role is £12.71 per hour, increasing to £12.95 after a successful 3 month probation.
