Healthcare Assistant - Complex Care

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a male client in his late 30s within his home environment. This is a 24-hour waking complex care package supporting a client living with a spinal cord injury and Autonomic Dysreflexia. The successful candidate will provide full support with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, moving and handling, medication support, bowel care, catheter care, nutrition and hydration, and mobility assistance. Carers must be confident working within complex care settings, able to recognise clinical concerns, and remain calm and professional at all times. We are looking for carers with experience in:

• A proven track record of going above and beyond, one of our core values at OneCall24Healthcare, to help clients achieve meaningful social outcomes and make a positive impact on their lives
• Complex spinal injury care
• Autonomic Dysreflexia awareness and management
• Assisted cough
• Bespoke moving and handling techniques
• Suprapubic catheter care and bladder washouts via syringe
• Bowel care including enemas and digital stimulation
• Medication administration and clinical observations
• Supporting with all personal care and ADLs
• Nutrition and hydration support
• Working independently within a client's home
• Managing challenging behaviors professionally and calmly
