Healthcare Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our wonderful Community Nursing Team in Stroud. The successful applicant will work autonomously to deliver care to adults in their homes guided by the nurse lead in the team. The applicant will have a good understanding and experience of caring for adults who require clinical skilled interventions aimed at maintaining their health and reducing hospital admission .Main duties of the job The job involves providing a high standard of care to persons requiring interventions such as wound care , care of diabetes, venepuncture and monitoring of health in line with Trust policy and procedures. Good communication and interpersonal skills Working as part of an integrated team alongside nurses, GP's and other health professionals. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation and clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding policies. ) Following infection prevention and control procedures including using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly. Maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
