Summary

Our Emergency department located at Peterborough City Hospital and is a busy environment with friendly and supportive teams of doctors, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The department also includes our Urgent Treatment Centre.
As a Healthcare Assistant in Urgent Care, you will be required to attend all areas of the department. You will be caring for patients when they are most vulnerable and together with your team, you will do your utmost for your patients and be their advocate when needed.
You will be passionate about patient care, and able to think on your feet while demonstrating a flexible approach to teamwork and excellent communication skills.

The roles are permanent on a full-time and part-time basis. Flexible working opportunities will be considered where possible.
In order to be considered for this post you must hold Level 3 NVQ in Health related subject or demonstrable equivalent experience supported by completion of a competency based clinical skills framework and have completed the Care Certificate.
As a healthcare assistant in the Emergency Department, your daily duties will vary and change frequently due to the unpredictability of the events.
You will be supervised by the senior staff, however, you will enjoy a certain level of autonomy and decision-making in managing and prioritising the tasks in critical situations.
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust's redeployment process.
