Full Job Description

As a Healthcare Assistant on Juniper Ward, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of our patients by delivering high-quality, compassionate care that positively contributes to their recovery journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
+ Providing physical and psychological care in line with individual care plans
+ Supporting patients through the acute phase of mental illness
+ Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
+ Supporting carers and families where appropriate
+ Contributing to a safe, therapeutic ward environment
You will help ensure that care delivery is holistic, responsive, and person-centred, making a meaningful difference to those we support.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
+ Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach
+ Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
+ Are motivated to learn and develop within mental health services
You will also:
+ Contribute to achieving ward and organisational objectives
+ Participate in team meetings, training, and development activities
+ Maintain and develop your clinical knowledge and skills

About Juniper Ward

Juniper Ward is an 18-bed acute inpatient ward for older adults experiencing mental health crises, including conditions such as depression and bipolar disorder.

We provide short-stay inpatient care for individuals within the South West Surrey district, focusing on comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Our friendly and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of support during the acute phase of their illness.
