Full Job Description

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, both in the healthcare department and on the wings
  • Facilitate clinics, including bloods, observations (obs), ECGs, NHS Health checks etc
  • Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages
  • Support the nursing team with all aspects of care
  • Act as a second checker in pharmacy as required
  • Support receptions (new patients entering the prison) and assist with triaging new patients

  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or Care Certificate
  • Experience within a healthcare setting, we are able to train the right candidate in phlebotomy.

    37.5 hours per week on a rolling 8 week rota basis Monday - Thursday - 0800 - 1930 Friday - Sunday - 0800 -1730 Some occasional weekend working required. Salary This role is full time and we offer a salary of up to £29,723 depending on experience., It doesnt stop there we also offer:
